| Northern Ireland 1 and Northern Ireland 2 Communities would like to thank all members who attended their first new style Member Meetup at The Europa, Belfast. The event was well received by the 284 members (including their guests) who attended. Attendees enjoyed some fantastic presentations from a range of presenters. We were joined by: Cheryl Lythgoe, Society Matron from Benenden Health's Registered Office who provided a presentation on “How Healthy Are You!” including top tips on health and wellbeing. Cheryl also provided an additional presentation on mental resilience with strategies for positive mental wellbeing. Bel Dowson, from Benenden Health's Products and Services Team who provided an overview of services included within your Benenden Health membership. Members found this very informative and enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions. Kym Ward from The Brain Charity provided two interesting presentations on neuro diversity, with one presentation focusing on Dementia and another two on Autism. Kym provided an overview of the services provided by The Brain Charity and gave advice for supporting people with neuro diverse conditions to live happy and healthy lives. Tara Collins from MindWise NI who delivered a presentation on mental health and how mental health conditions affect people daily. She explained how her charity works to support and empower people who live with mental health conditions to live their best lives The Member Engagement Team were on hand and keen to speak with members. The event was well attended by Northern 1 and Northern Ireland 2 Community Representatives, who were on hand throughout the day and did a great job engaging with Members about their Community and their roles. It was lovely to meet face-to-face with so many members and we hope to see you again soon. |
