North East and Yorkshire Community would like to thank all members who attended their first new style Member Meetup at The Hilton Hotel, York. The event was well received by the 51 members who attended (including their guests) who enjoyed some fantastic presentations from a range of presenters. We were joined by: Llinos Connolly, Clinical Services Sister from Benenden Health's Registered Office - Llinos provided an interactive presentation on first aid, including a demonstration on how to use a defibrillator. Jane Cooper, from Benenden Health's Products and Services Team who provided an overview of services included within your Benenden Health membership. Members found this very informative and enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions. Kym Ward, from The Brain Charity - Kym provided an overview of neurodiverse conditions, with a particular focus on Dementia and information about how The Brain Charity can support. Amanda Shaw, Benenden Charitable Trust Manager - Amanda provided an overview of the excellent work of the Benenden Charitable Trust. As a member of Benenden Health the Benenden Charitable Trust may be able to help if you’re experiencing financial hardship through a health or wellbeing issue. The Member Engagement Team were on hand and keen to speak with members. The event was well attended by North East and Yorkshire Community Representatives, who were on hand throughout the day and did a great job engaging with Members about their Community and their roles. It was lovely to meet face-to-face with so many members and we hope to see you again soon.
