South Coast to Counties Community would like to thank all members who attended their first new style Member Meetup at Audleys Wood Hotel, Basingstoke. The event was well received by the 113 members who attended (including their guests) who enjoyed some fantastic presentations from a range of presenters. We were joined by: Cheryl Lythgoe, Society Matron from Benenden Health's Registered Office - Cheryl provided a presentation on general health and wellbeing with a focus on keeping active and tips for ensuring we eat a variety of food -'eating the rainbow'! Jane Walker, from Benenden Health's Products and Services Team who provided an overview of services included within your Benenden Health membership. Members found this very informative and enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions. Victor Vine, The Royal National Institute for the Deaf - Victor provided an overview of hearing loss and how to manage the symptoms. He also explained how to access help and the types of support that are available.
Unfortunately, Greg Kearns from The Brain Charity was unable to join us on the day - we hope to see him soon at future meetups. The Member Engagement Team were on hand and keen to speak with members. The event was well attended by South Coast to Counties Community Representatives, who were on hand throughout the day and did a great job engaging with Members about their Community and their roles. It was lovely to meet face-to-face with so many members and we hope to see you again soon.
