Hi, just wondering what music moves you? Maybe move in a dance way or an emotional way a happy way a sad way and so on....
I love dance and house music to get me going, lots of raves in the 90's and it sort of comes back to me but then I may have lost an entire decade!!! I listen to folk when I'm in a soulful almost moody mood, I can feel the emotions and feelings of Bob Dylan. I adore opera and classical music when I'm cooking or in the allotment and I listen to french jazz and Nina and Ella on a Sunday...not a huge fan of country though!
Oh and I do confess that I believe I make the best playlist ever on Spotify!! Which raises the point remember buying an album just for one song?!!

YogaGary Easy listening and soulful music is my thing at the moment. Artists like Dido. I do like most music, except heavy metal, but none of the modern hip and rap music. Classic and country are up there too. Always been a Shadows fan and like instrumental music with Guitars and Mindfulness relaxing music.

Like BrianGotts, I love classical music. Tchaikovsky and Bach are my favourite composers. However!!! I am a pop girl at heart ❤️ and during autumn, jazz is my go to! YogaGary, I think you are going to love Samara Joy.

Here's what I've been listening to lately:

Olivia Dean is an artist I totally recommend, all her songs are simply great!

Music is a HUGE part of my day and life - I have a soundtrack happening pretty much all day long, whether it's in the office working, making a coffee, driving the kids to football training, or even just chilling in the quiet of an early morning. It often revolves around something that evokes feelings of nostalgia in me, so that usually means music from the 80s and early 90s, or even further back than that - I'm a big fan of jazz and swing (I spent three years at music college studying Jazz) - I love me a bit of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, and all those crooners - I think I get that from my late Grandma - I would often spend Saturdays and Sundays at her house watching old black and white movies and MGM musicals. I do also like country music - they are great story tellers, but the country music of today isn't the same as the country music my Dad used to listen to - my wife have become big fans of a lot of modern country music over the last 10 or so years. I do also love classical and opera when the mood I'm in calls for it!

YogaGary - I'm also a sucker for Spotify playlists - I feel that they're the mix tapes of these times, I have hundreds for all different reasons!

I have a policy at home that Fridays are for "Oldies" so, as it's Friday I thought I'd share with you one of my Friday playlists, made up of lots of older music from swing to Motown to 80s!
